We are dedicated to improving the lives and outcomes of Chiari patients by promoting education, awareness, and financial assistance for MRI's while providing comfort and support to individuals and their families during such a challenging time.
Who We Are
Our History
Chiari's Little Warriors, known for organizing the annual Chiari walk, was founded in June 2023 to support those affected by Chiari malformation. The upcoming 4th Annual Chiari Warrior Fun Walk 2026 promises to be a significant event for all little warriors and their families.
Highlights Over the Years
We’re proud to share that because of your support and participation in our Chiari Walks, Chiari’s Little Warriors donated $10,000 to Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Foundation and has donated over $5,250 to Conquer Chiari! These funds go directly toward research, awareness, and supporting families affected by Chiari malformation.
Sydney published a special children’s coloring book that shares Sydney’s journey with Chiari called “Coloring Through Chiari: Sydney’s Story of Strength”. Since part of our mission is to bring comfort to families during difficult times, we believe this project is a powerful way to support children facing hospital visits and surgery. The book is designed to ease fears, provide encouragement, and remind young warriors that they are not alone. By combining comfort with storytelling, we hope to improve the experiences and outcomes of Chiari patients in a meaningful way.
We received a Proclamation from the City of Lighthouse Point and City of Pompano Beach that September 2026 is Chiari Malformation Awareness Month!
2025 Highlights:
Thanks to every participant, sponsor, and supporter, our 2025 walk raised $17,429 for the cause! Our Community showed up in a big way and we surpassed our goal of $15,000!
Sydney Salas Named Winterfest Jr. Captain
Chiari’s Little Warriors is proud to celebrate a special 2025 milestone. Sydney Salas was named the 2025 Winterfest Foundation Jr. Captain, representing Chiari’s Little Warriors in the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade.
The Winterfest Foundation Jr. Captain program highlights Broward County nonprofit organizations through community storytelling and a social‑media–driven engagement process, helping to bring meaningful causes into the spotlight.
As part of this recognition, Sydney received a $2,053 charitable check from Fifth Third Bank, directly supporting the mission and programs of Chiari’s Little Warriors.
The Jr. Captain program is proudly supported by major community sponsors, including Florida Power & Light (FPL) and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, whose partnership helps make this opportunity possible for nonprofit organizations and the families they serve.
Winterfest also describes the Boat Parade as attracting over one million spectators along the parade route, creating powerful visibility for participating organizations and increasing community awareness of important causes.
